I needed a little corvette therapy

Continue with your therapy by taking a 20 or so mile ride north to the Whiskey Cafe in Lyndhurst.
I'm leaving in about an hour to go.
350-400 vehicles,food,music every sat night 6-10.
A great time.

Tried to pull off the warped power steering pulley tonight. I would not break loose. Guess I'll have to remove the pump and try again on the workbench where there is more room. Question? Do you know if you have to bleed the pump after installation, or does it more or less push the aiir into the reservoir by itself?

I'm quoting my 79 manual. (I've done this so I know it works).
1. Fill oil reservior to proper level and let oil remain undisturbed for at least two minutes.
2. Start engine and run only for about two seconds.
3. Add oil if necessary.
4. Repeat above procedure until oil level remains constant after running engine.
5. Raise front end of vehicle so that wheels are off the ground.
6. Increase engine speed to approximately 1500 RPM.
7. Turn the wheels (off ground) right and left, lightly contacting the wheel stops.
8. Add oil if necessary.
9. Lower the car and turn wheels right and left on the ground.
10. Check oil level and refill as required.
11. If oil is extremely foamy, allow vehicle to stand a few minutes with engine off and repeat above procedure.
a. cehck belt tightness and check for a bent or loose pulley. (Pulley should not wobble with engine running.)
b. Check to make sure hoses are not touching any other parts of the car, particularly sheet metal and exhaust manifold.
c. check oil level, filling to proper level if necessary, following operations 1 through 10. This step and step "D" are extremely important as low oil level and/or air in the oil are the most frequent causes of objectionable pump noise.
d. Check the presence of air in the oil. If air is present, attempt to bleed system as described in operations 1 through 10. If it becomes obvious that the pump will not bleed after a few trials, proceed as outlined under Hydraulic Sysem Checks.
If your pump won't bleed out the air, drop me an e-mail and I'll go into the Hydraulic checks for you.

Today, I will wash the Vette and take a nice cruise. If we don't continue what we did in our lives before that horrible day, then the criminals that inflicted such misery on all those poor lost souls will have won.
God Bless America.
