can somebody give me some feedback on 275/60/15 tires on rear of 78 vette. looking to put these on rear and 255/60/15 on front. how do they fit and do the treads stick out past the upper wheelwell.
thanks
pm jims79 he has tried every combination known to man.....and sent back more tires then i have ever owned....
That being said, I have 245/60/15's up front & 255/60/15's on the rear.
and no tire's were sent back but sold for 1/2 of what I paid for them. To all my good friends who wouldn't give me a dime more for them. Thank You
Now can you fit bigger tires on a C3? Yes you can, will they rub sometimes they do. On orginal plan was 255's front & 275's rear. The tires looked TOO BIG on the car hit inside fenders and my L48 couldn't move all that rubber on the rear. It takes a lot of ponies to spin 275's

i have this combination on my '77 and they fit perfectly...
I've got 255/60 15's on rear and the park cable mounting bracket is pretty close to sidewall. I dont think it will clear a 275/60. I think you would have to relocate bracket in order to run that wide a tire.
I have 255/60/15s all around o my 77. They fit good but do rub in front when steering turned all the way. Park brake cable will have to relocated for 275s on rear.Does anyone have a picture of 245/60/15 frnt and 255/60/15 rear I'm thinking of changing front tires?

I've got 255/60/15s all around as well and I rub also when turned all the way or hit a dip in a turn. I'll be switching the front sometime soon.
