I've had my car for about a year and its always ran a little rough...nothing big, I thought it was just a lopier-than-stock cam and old motor mounts. I had the car in to get the carb tuned last week and my local mechanic thought it was definitely just the cam. But I had a bunch of fellow (automotive) engineers listening to the car today and they thought it was an intermittent miss.
I replaced points, plugs, coil last week and I'm fairly sure its getting good spark (no fouling). I also optimized the mixture to maximum manifold vacuum (1.5 turns out)
Just wanted to get opinions...is a 35 year old car with 90k+ miles on it missing or is it normal to run a bit rough. How can I go about diagnosing whether its normal or not?
