you have your front air dam strip? if you don't, i have aquired some more of the black plastic stuff i use on mine. for a very small fee ($20), i'll box up enough to replace your old or missing stuff.
*WARNING UP FRONT* this is by no means a direct replacement. this stuff is just a 90* black plastic channel i discovered in the trash at one of my customers. you know what they say, "one man's trash is another man's treasure".
anyway, you will have to fit it yourself, like i did. it just takes some small machine screws and washers and will bolt in the same place the original rubber strip goes. figure about an hours time (at most) and you can save yourself about $100.
i will post pics tomorrow (if i get the chance) of what this stuff looks like and how it bolts up. the nice thing about this stuff is it's pretty stiff, stiff enough to deflect air at normal speeds, it's also about 1/4" longer than the original stuff. and lastly, if you destroy it, who cares? your not out $100+ for the expensive stuff.
so here are a couple pics just so everyone knows what they're in for.
this is what the stuff looks like when you get. it's easy to trim and pretty stiff. the tabs with the split are what you'll use to mount it to the bottom of your air dam. you'll have to drill the holes and trim the tabs in a couple places to make the bend easier.
now here it is mounted on my car. (don't make fun of the cobwebs! the car has been down for months for a blown engine). this has been on my car for 2-3 years now. although i don't put a whole lot of miles on it, it has survived a couple off/on track excursions.
for all those still interested, i will answer in the order received.
TT, i'll see what i can do for you. is there anything else you need stateside?
o.k. pics were posted last week. i have four boxes ready to go. need addy's. original posters at the top of the list.
<EDIT> all the stuff i currently have is spoken for. if you want some, P/M me and next time i'm over in the area i'll scout some more.
