Default Bubba strikes again!

Don't you love it when the previous owner of your car F's everything up?

So my car is in the shop getting the digital gauges installed (which is a huge procedure...) So my car is ripped apart, and hes telling me how hes missing screws all over the place, and misc. pieces of plastic are broken here and there.... and then, then kicker.... The 1Din headunit I had thought he didn't bubba up.... ISN'T SCREWED DOWN!!!.... He mounted it in there fairly nicely, but didn't bother to screw it in!.... For the love of god.... these people need to be shot...

So anyways... Thats my rant... Many hours of labor charges later, the car will be put together the right way, and i'll have digital gauges and a tilt/tele steering column....

God, you have to take EVERYTHING out to do Anything in there... He was telling me how much of a pain in the butt its going to be if I decide to redo the interior...

I've got too many 'Bubba stories. Just yesterday I was under the nose of the car looking at the support tod and I noticed the horns/acutators were screwed to the support (the u shaped one leading to the point of the front bumper). I know they are supposed to be attached to a support plate and the cross-member iteself. Well....I find the plate in a box in my garage (all excited now) go to install it using the three screws, well......there aren't any holes there. It should attach using these three screws....my cross-member has 4 holes and are in a competely different pattern. Now I might be real stupid (I can be at times) or I might be missing another part.....but I am getting the bad feeling that our friend 'Bubba has installed a few parts or a whole fargin front end! :U

I reckon we all have bubba stories.
Hows this....
My headlight assembly has been screwed to the hood surround THROUGH the fibreglass!! Then covered over with new glass.
I have had one of the screws work its way through the body and the other is on its way out now! Just noticed the little round crack in the paint the other day. :mad :mad

How's this:

My center gauge cluster, radio, and gauges have been replaced with 1972. Too bad my car is a 1970. Now that's not too expensive to replace!!!

Its like a $0.35 piece of plastic... and I have a feeling i'm going to pay like $5 plus shipping.... Where do I look? I tryed ecklers, but I don't even know what to call it...

It is called a heater/ac face unit. I think they sell a re-facing kit for it. Try Zip also.
