Default Converting alum diff to iron diff..

Has anyone converted their '80-'82 to the older style ('63-'79) differentials? I understand (from reading various posts) that the older "iron" style can be beefed up easier...

If you don't have any parts at all and I supply everything, your at about 3K. If you have your own cast iron diff, and some other odds & ends it will be cheaper.

Sorry I missed that thread, I thought I checked this site pretty well before asking. I hope to have mine out by this weekend, I guess I'll wait to see what kind of shape it's in.
