on my 81 there is a rubber plug in the firewall where the vac lines to/from the AC control system come thru, anyone know what it called or where to find one? the vac lines all 3 broke off on the firewall side on mine. Can it be fixed?

Nobody does a reproduction of that grommet-according to Doc Rebuild himself. Like Duke94 says those 3 vac hoses just stick in the grommet from the firewall side but from the cockpit side there are nipples IIRC. My heater valve line came out so I just wet it and stuck it back in. It works fine with no detectable vacuum leaks. Good luck.
I see DWncchs has found a 3 hole grommet. I'm pretty sure it's not the one you want. I bought one like that from CC several years ago and I'll look at it when I get home to double check.
I looked at my CC grommet and it appears to be exactly like the Ecklers/TLD part. Mine is still in the CC bag and I can see through the bag that the holes simply go all the way through it-and they are a much larger diameter than original vacuum lines. CC# is 303043 and has 68-82 as the application. It appears that you would need to replumb or patch the whole HVAC vacuum system to use it. The original part functions as a connector and a grommet-again, if I recall correctly.
