OK, car had to sit out in the rain today. Carpet got very wet, like water standing under the seats. Saw some small drips from the rear glass latches .
It had to have come in under the side trim some where the T tops have new seals. Where should I start my search?

Windshield on the pass side is notorious for leaking. Test with a hose. Sit inside and jave someone spray the hose up into the air so the water falls like rain again.

Thats exactly where mine leaks if it raining alot. Luckily it does not leak much, but you can feel some dampness on the passenger floor if it rains for a while. Luckily I do not take the car out in the rain that often.
I can understand the passenger side front because of the vent in the kick panel. But this is under the seats only. It has got to be coming from the back some where.

It's probably windshield...trust me. But, water can leak in through the wiper tray if there are holes, but water coming int eh vent is a long shot seeing as how the car way not moving.
Has anyone had a leak under the drivers side dash. My 81 got a new windshield , all new weatherstripping including t-tops, It leaks on your
left ankle about where the hood release is but cannot see anything wet
when laying on my back looking up at the instrument panel. Is there
a vent on the drivers side. It leak there before all the new stuff was installed so that kind of rules out the windshield seal. Also nothing is
wet above the bottom of the dash, just the carpeting.
Mine had a leak on the T-Top seal. When I had the repaint done back in 1999, I had all the rubber replaced. That did the trick, so I hope. The only time I get to test it is when I wash it. It mostly stays inside during the winter months, unless there is a day or two of Corvette sunshine.
Are the rubber tubes that drain the water from the Asto vents in the rear good? I once washed a 69 that I owned and it looked like I held the hose inside the car. The rubber was torn and water poured out into the rear compartment and drained to the floor under the seats.

I am having this exact same problem, and my passenger floor is real wet after my car sat in the rain today.
I just took mina apart tonight, its an 81 and the pass side floor pan is toast.
What I found is the drivers side lower windshield frame is rusted pretty bad, got a hole you can about put a finger thru and the rivits that hold the triangular fiberglass piece on there pulled out. All that is under the top rear corner of the fender. I also have some pretty good rust on the drivers side top corner of the windshield frame. Pass side upper coner frams is not bad. some rust on the lower pass side windshield frame corner but not as bad as on drivers side.

That's the common spot. It can leak from the inside and you'll never see it from the outside or with the interior in place to cover it. All those threads about rusty bird cages being something you look for when buying a Vette? That's one of the reasons they get so bad. Leaky windshield seals.
i have the same problem with mine, i found out it was leaking thru the flat side of the driver window (perpendiculaire area to the car) you wanna know how I found out??
I went thru the lazer thing cleaner at the exxon gasr station and when the robotic arm sprayed water I litteraly got soaked!!loool
not the best way to find out but it sure works!

That's just a bad window seal, and even then high pressure water would still come in. Driving in the rain is nothing like a power washer spraying through bad seals.

Yeah I know, my vette gets flooded as a Houston street just being parcked for an Hour in the rain!!! I have to change all joints anyways but i wait for paint job to be done so i can do it at the same time

Just be careful. All that water is going down under the seat to where the lower seat belt retractor is. If that corrodes and rusts up you'll be looking at a lot more money.
