Default Ok Whats going On??

replaced all front bushings, ball joints, tie rods, idler arm took it the alignment shop, i just discovered the right front wheel is rubbing on the inner fender well, when doing a hard right turn, the car drives great , no pull left or right. I measured the difference from right to left side and the right wheel is back about 1/2 to 3/4 inch more than the front..

What happened??

When you replaced the lower ball joints...what side did you place the larger capped bolt? If it's not on the insides, it won't stop the steer at hard over, and it can go too far.

Sounds like its shimmed funny, take a look at the shims on the upper control arm both sides should be roughly equal. Look at the lower control arm shafts, make sure they are straight, use a string.

I took it back to the garage that aligned it, the guy is pretty good at his job, he added a shim to the right and took one out of the left, it is still off by 1/2 inch, he stated that these old cars were known to have frames that were tweaked a little.. I will look at the control arms shafts, I didn't do the front end work myself. I had it done at a garage, who knows what bubba might have done.. It does have p235 60 15's on it which are a little bigger tire than stock.

Have you had a chance to get the front figured out? Did you look into the large bolt heads on the lower ball joints? Where are they? Front or rear?
