If I wanted to delete my heater  couldn't I just put a brass plug in the water pump where the heater core hose goes? How about the hose that goes to the intake?
Yes, you can thread a plug in to the heater fittings. If you remove the pump you will notice a hole on the right side that is to circulate water through the engine, bypassing the radiator. It is only needed when the engine is cold. You can thread that hole and plug it after you drill a couple of holes in the thermostat to avoid excess pressure in the system before the thermostat opens.
But, don't you live on the wrong end of the continent to be deleting your heater?

he's canadian. people from Sask don't even put a jacket on until -20C ;)
however, i'm a wimpy west-coaster; we get SN at anything below 10C. and i love my heater, when the tops are off, cruising at night under a cool clear night.
I don't know if i'd ever do it, just a silly question of mine! Besides, the only time people here use there heaters is now and then in about a month they go into storage until April.
My heater was scraped years ago and the space inside under the dash made a great place for mounting electronics, relays ,coil and remote solenoid for the starter
