For those of you with the 73-75 cowl induction hoods, I have added some detail to my web site from the Chevy New Product Information booklet for 73. Check it out below, just select Technical Info.
You have a ton of information there. I will have to visit your site more.
On the cowl induction, mind already had the door removed so I plugged the two intakes for the air cleaner so mine is cowl induction all the time. It doesn't lose power when it heats up anymore. Anyone else do that? How did it work for you?

John73BB,
Does it flow enough air. From the calculations I have seen you would still need the snorkles to get enough air to the engine at WOT. I look at the cowl induction as a supplement to add cool air the the air going to the engine.
Good on ya' for including the cowl induction info on your website. Got any ideas where one might find a flapper valve seal and an intake screen?
noxqsz,
I have seen those on eBay. Or may try one of the corvette salvage dealers that advertise in the corvette magazines.
Personaly I feel that the cowl induction was one reason that the 73 L82 was able to match the 72 LT1 in performance. One thing for sure, it cannot hurt. :D
Adding the door will not make any more power. If the door is already there but not opening at WOT then you might be losing some power. Remove the door completely for best results.....
