Does anyone have a P/N for the old style kickdown cable with the long wire with the "S" hook on the tranny side. All the aftermarket cables like the Pioneer 1951 that are listed for a '76 with an TH350 have the new style connecting end that will not work.

I just took my th350 out of my 76 this weekend and it had the "s" hook.Mine is a early 76 so I'm not sure if that will make a difference.
I have a similar question. I have a TH350 from unknown origins that I need to replace the detent cable. It has the S hook end at the transmission. I bought a new cable but on the transmission end it has a smaller diameter end fitting with an O-ring that sits on top of the case. The one I pulled out has a slightly larger diameter end fitting with an O-ring that sits in a grove about ¼” down into the case.
I’m having a hard time getting the correct cable. My assumption is that there was change at some model year. Anybody know what era transmission I might have or a good part number for a TH350 detent cable with the larger diameter O-ringed end fitting?
There are 2 different styles of detent cables used in a THM350. One has seal that looks like a sleeve, and the other has an o ring. Get your local yellow pages, find a transmission parts supplier- not a rebuilder. They will have links, cables, seals, whatever you'll need. There are 2 or 3 places I can think of in KC that are just parts guys. CA should have many more.
