Go to any parts store, and they will sell you power steering return hose by the foot. Buy what you think you'll need, and install it accordingly using small hose clamps.

How about some pics. I want to do the same. What other issues did you run into.

I know you mentioned a connector, but to be honest, being as cheap as it is, it's a better idea to replace the entire run of hose. That will ensure you have a fresh crack-free return line.

The problem is there is a hard fitting going into the control valve that is why I am asking about the hose connector.

You have mail.

In that case, check the hose for cracking and rot. If it's in bad shape, a new correct one can be bought, and that one can be extended.

I put a 3/8 hard fuel line with clamps on mine to extend the hose.

I'm having trouble remembering. Is the return line have a permenent fitting on it at the valve? Seems I thought it was a nipple too, but I could be wrong. Probably am.

I had the same problem. What I did was to remove the sheet metal "can" that encloses the actual cast iron pump. The can is basically the reservoir. Take the reservoir off of your original and install it on your serpentine pump. You'll need to buy a new set of O rings for the reservoir. Now your return line will be in the right place.

I'm having trouble following that...do you happen to have some pics to help clear that up?
