Battery to the Engine Compartment?

Battery to the Engine Compartment?
Ok...the battery cable to the starter is shot. 30 years is a good long life...
The question is, has anyone moved the battery to the engine compartment? It appears to be very easy to rig a box right next to the starter.
If anyone has pictures I would love to see them.

Go buy cable for a big truck, in "00" size. They can get it with the correct ends. You can also buy raw cable from NAPA and Tractor Supply. Just replace what you have and it should go another 30 years.

Battery is very close to the exhaust where your talking about putting it and batteries do not like that kind of heat. I would put it where it belongs with a larger cable if you can get one.
