How's the ride & handling compared to the stock setup? I've looked at these & I like what I see. How would they compare to a coil-over setup? My 93 had a front mono & it rode & handled great.
From what I understand is, unless you're an all out hardcore racer, the monosprings help it handle almost as well as full coil-overs. The main advantage coil-overs would give you is the ability to make more precise adjustments, but for the street that's kinda useless.
I have the VB,P performance plus kit on my 69 and it works great. but the best thing you can do for handling is put some really good tires on the car. I put some toyo proxies on the front and the diffrence was incredable
As I previously posted, I have a VBP monospring conversion kit on my '80 and really like it (even though other CF members noticed an installation error I fix).
My lower A-arms were almost new, so I chose the conversion kit. If your ball joints are worn or questionable, I recommend going with the full monospring kit with new tubular A-arms.
The ride is much better with the monospring than with the Gymkhana springs I had, and the ride height and spring rate are adjustable too.
