Need help with stuck window on 77
My 77 pass. side window is stuck in the down position. I was having intermitant problems with it before and had replaced the motor and just recently the switch. It was working fine but all of a sudden won't close. I get a power drain on the volt meter when I push it down but nothing for the up push. What the heck. I never fooled with the pwr window relay. could that be the cause or is it the window motor? Also where is the pwr window relay located on the 77. Anyone have this problem before? :smash:

Never mind. I found the problem. The 3 wires that snap into the bottom of the switch are not making good contact. I guess a lot of heat is generated at the base of these switches and I do see some melting of the plastic body that the 3 wires feed into. I cleaned the contacts and used electrical tape to wrap the body for more support. I paced a small piece of plastic under the contacts and the floor for added contact strength. It works fine for now. I need to rewire the switch for the real fix though. I need to search for a switch conecction unit to splice in.
