Thats what I was waiting to hear.Special piston and a round O-ring not square or flat.Is the groove in the piston round at the bottom or is there something special like a taper? It seems like it would just match the contour of the O-ring.Also you said no spring with that piston-is the piston too long?
I dont think this artical is comparing apples to apples.I think Duntov was refering to the square o-ring design used in the outside of the bore.I cant see where the new o-ring design would not allow a little bit of piston face deflection.I havnt seen the new pistons but if they are so long that they can not "wobble' in the bore then that might be a problem.The face of the piston does have to angle at times.
