I've seen a couple of these heads of late, most commonly the Trick Flow Specialties twisted wedge. For those that haven't seen them, the intake and exhaust valves are not side by side.
How do these work? The rockers don't appear to be offset. Are longer rockers required?

More curious than anything else.
I would imagine longer pushrods (much like with most aftermarket heads) are going to be required. It's basically the same train of thought as the big block Chevy head design. By canting the valves in this fashion it helps the flow numbers out dramatically. The geometry between the rocker arms and the valves won't be any different than a regular SBC head. Any roller rocker arm should work as long as you are using the correct pushrod length.
Lots of geometry and wear problem with the twisted wedge heads, the G2s are a little better but have both valves at a diff andlge (from stock), the 1st gen ones only have a repos. intake valve
The problems ended up killing them off...they aren't available anymore. I've got a pair of 1 gen ones lying around somewhere.
They were a major suck item. I had them refurbished twice and sold them. That is when they came out decree with a max lift of .500 or so to make the guides last.
they would be good for a modest power gain just like the article states.
The main problem wasn't really the heads, it's mainly poor geometry and bad set up that caused the increased wear plus the really crappy stock springs (K motion) that they used
I bought them when all the car rag magazines were claiming them to be the best thing out there. I bought them and had the seats opened up the spring pockets to 1.56 diameter for my .600+ lift roller motor. It just trashed the guides in a month or two. They repaired them with taller harder guides for more stem support and they also got trashed. they wouldn't refund my money and just refurbished them. When they came back i sold them for about 1/2 price to a friend with a low lift h-flat setup
