headlights open at start up???/
i am still having this problem. when i start the car the headlights open then close. i just replaced the relays, checkvalve (twice), overide switch and filter, does anyone have any ideas on what the problem may be. they were just lazy before i started this project.

The small vacumn line going to the relay or relays(if you have 2 ) is the on -off switch.Vac to relays=headlights closed No vac=headlights open So you need to figure out why that small vac. hose is losing its vac. Do an individual vac. check on anything that little hose is connected to.Start by checking each of the relays.If you put your hand held vac pump on that hose going back towards dash it should hold vac providing all switches are off.

thanks for the help, i will check the relays and the small vac line. the relays are new but it won't hurt to check.
