expansion tank leaking, repair or Replace??

Default expansion tank leaking, repair or Replace??
its leaking where the neck attaches to the tank, can I just have this welded or should I just spend $150 on a new one?

Weld it, aluminum is an easy repair.

The one that came on my 71' was welded at least 3 times by previous owner(s). It didn't leak, but I spent the bucks for a new one just so I wouldn't have any problems. At the time, The Last Detail had the lowest price.

If your car is NCRS material, there are vendors that sell date coded tanks though it would be better to have your original correctly repaired.

Yup, had mine weld repaired nearly 20 years ago and never had a problem with it since.
