Just back from a shakedown run
After replacing headers, oil pump, oil pan gasket, timing cover, water pump pulley and crank pulley. And a new set of plugs!
Ran great, sounds even better. And a preliminary inspection shows no leaks. I am happy.
As soon as I get it cleaned up I will take some pics.

Know how you feel, I replaced the plug wires on my 383 and rerouted the MSD trigger wires as per a previous thread, and couldn't believe the difference! Just wanted to keep right on driving, on into the night......
