HEI Shim and Spring Question
Where do you guys get your lower distributor shims from? A local parts store? I tried A-Zone but a no go. If you have a part # that would be nice...
Also, for HEI, Lars recommends the Gold springs from the curve kit however my Mr. Gasket part # 929 only had one in it. Is this normal?

I see that CC has shims for the pre HEI distributors. i don't know if they'll help of not.

79vetter....if you don't mind me tagging along. Are you updating/tuning your HEI as per the Lars notes? If so I am planning on doing the same thing in a couple weeks as I have a HEI on my 69 L46 with a converted tach, etc. I would like to know where you are getting your parts from also so I can do the same with my setup. I am a novice at this stuff so any help you could provide to make sure I have all the necessary parts would be great.

Schucks/Kragen/Checker sells Mr Gasket, the Mr Gasket Shim kit # is 2820, they can special order you the spring and shim kits in about 2 days. Or if you have a real speed shop in your area they should have them.
