I have factory shoulder belts but most of the Corvette suppliers sell kits
I have also read that the 80's F body belts match up.
Maybe a search on Firebird or Camaro seat belts will bring some results
Good luck
From what I see in the books is there are two latches, one for each belt,
will check the camaro..
This is correct for the stock Corvette belts
The lap belt locks in like a normal belt but the shoulder belt hooks on a small button type pin that is part of the lap belt so the stock setup is actually two pieces.
I don't know how the original shoulder harness and lap belt work together. The Camaro belt uses a pendulum(sp) so that when the brakes are applied it will stop the belt from letting out and keep you tight. I don't know if the shoulder harness on the older cars has this due to mine not having the shoulder harnesss.
Not sure about the 68, if the shoulder harness belt were an option, on my 69 the optional belt was bolted to the side of the wheel well. I made this set of brackets to bolt in the 96 Camaro units. The camaro belts have an inertia lock and CAN NOT mount on the side of the wheel wells. Some people have just drilled down thru the well to install these. Here is the belt installed. I have another set of belts available if you are intrested, PM me.
