I have replaced all power steering components with rebuilt to try to eliminate my power steering leaks. The "new" power steering control valve still appears to be leaking quite seriously. It looks like it is leaking from a little "ball bearing" looking thing on the outboard side at the bottom of the valve, maybe a pressure control release?
Anybody have any thoughts? It drips whether the engine is running or not.

Thanks as always!
Send it back where you got it. I went through 3 of them before I got one that didn't leak. They were "new" also.

Send it back, is that little ball bearing thingy your talking about possibly the grease fitting? If so, power steering fluid should not be in part of the unit, something internally is not put together right or there is a defective part in there. Either way return it and get another one. If they send you another one and it's still leaking return that one too and try another vendor.
Is the "ball like thing" right under the stamped end cap? If so, it is a ball bearing that is pressed into a communication passage. It basically is a plug. If it is leaking, send it back.

Rebuilt parts are getting crappier all the time. I went through 2 rebuilts on a Mustang that didn't leak, but didn't work well either. Luckily, A new unit came on the market (Flaming River). It works fine. I always try to buy new if I can. The worse part is that if you replace 1 part of a system, then assume that part is good, you then think that something else is bad and start changing other parts. Never ends.
