Ignition module goo (heat transfer)
Having problems with my Formula's ign module (believe it is overheating; it is cutting out then frying eventually-but that is another thread
). Came across a recomendation for this during my research and thought I would share

Ran it for a while yesterday after reinstalling the ign module with this stuff on there and the dist base plate was very hot to the touch, not sure what it was like before but I can tell it is transfering a ton of heat now. I used about half of the tube, it is very small so you get about 2 uses out of the tube.
*Just came back from a 2+ hour drive and the car ran flawless, not sure if it was the Artic 5 or crimping a loose ground wire to my coil, either way disappating more heat from the ign module is always a good thing

Coil came with the Crane HI-6S ignition for non-points system.
Most likely the loose ground connection to the coil was the problem but like I said the more heat transfer the better to prolong the life of the ignition module.

I bought a tube of that stuff about five years ago and have used it on every computer I've built since. Used for computer heatsinks you'll get about 15-20 uses out of a tube but for an ignition module I can imagine you'd need to goop quite a bit more on there.
