Default caliper seal leaking over winter?

I've heard stories of stock replacement brake calipers leaking at the seals as the vette sits over the winter due to the lack of pressure in the lines.
I've also read/heard that the VBP O-ring calipers eliminate this problem.

I need to make a decision to purchase myself an xmass present, either the VBP O-ring calipers (set of 4) or the Wilwood front Lagunas and rear Blackhawks. Do the Wilwoods have the same problem with leaky seals over the winter or extended periods of time? Are they O-ringed?
I'd upgrade to the Taledegas but they don't fit stock wheels.

Anyone using the VBP reman o-ring calipers? being that they are rebuilt how do they look? good condition? any problems with the seals? My pops bought the o-ring kit from another company, not VBP, a few years ago for our 78 and whomever worked on the calipers whether the company or a previous owner really beat the piston walls and they wouldn't seal.

Anyone know the deal with the wilwoods and their seals? can they withstand sitting over a period of time?

I have the VB&P SS o-ring calipers, they are high quality and I recomend them highly. I can't say whether or not the Wildwoods or other brands you mentioned are better or worth the x-tra cost to the masses. I have also been told that even with the o-rings, you should still at least pump your brake pedal once & a while during long term storage to prevent "weeping",

What ever you decide, it's a good idea to pump the brake pedal once in a while when the car is being stored. This will move the seals and help prevent damage to them.

Take a look at this:

hummm very good article.
I don't road race so I don't worry about piston knockback and deflection with the o-ring calipers during any hard cornering...but thats not to say I won't someday in the future.

When they say "depress" the bake pedal, does that mean just pump the brakes every month?

Yes, that will move the seals around which will prevent damage to them.
