Questions about '79 interior
My seats have the cloth inserts (which is no longer available :( ). Does this mean that the side pieces (bolsters?) are vinyl or leather? I have a tear in mine. The underside looks like it has a square weave pattern to it. is this typical for leather? Is this a backing?
Is leather used on the door panels?
BTW, it doesn't make sense that the cloth is available for the door panels, yet the same cloth is used for the seats yet it is not available.

Believe the side (bolsters) were vinyl from factory, whether the seat inside pieces were cloth or leather. Believe door panels are vinyl as well.

John is correct. Corvette "leather" interiors have leather seating surfaces and vinyl skirts. Door panels are vinyl covered with the possible exception of the '82 Collector Edition cars. The weave you see is the backing.
