My courtesy lights do not work on either side. There is power to both and the bulbs are good. My key buzzer also does not work, but that is not necessarily a bad thing, but I think they are connected. I read on this forum that the door jam switches are a poor design and fail often. Is there a way to bypass these switches to see if they are the problem before I buy replacements?
The fuse is okay and I tried grounding the white wire. Still nothing. Any other advise? This seems like one of the easier things to fix, but ...
Pull the courtesy light down and it should have 2 wires an orange and a white-probe and ground the white...if the orange is hot and the bulb is good it should light..if it does then all the white wires should turn the bulb on by grounding them unless for some reason the all white wires are not connected.
I guess the white wire is disconnected somewhere. There is power to the orange and the bulbs are good. Grounding the white does not make the lights work. I'll track the white down next weekend. Anyone know where the white terminates opposite the switch?
