Wiper door Bulge
Hi All,
Need some more help. My wiper door on my 72 has a little bulge in the center. Anyone know what causes this or better yet how to fix it? The ends seem to line up ok, it just bulges in the middle.

The wiper door is aluminum so it should not warp...it is only held at the ends so you can't do much with it. It will break if you try to bend it.
The cover in front of the door is secured with 8 screws in 4 locations across the car. The screws go into brackets that can be shimmed. They are easy to remove assuming the steel screws are not rusted into the brackets which are FRAGILE so be careful you dont break them. My suggestion is to shim the cover on the rear side towards the wiper door until it matches the door.
