Default Best method for removing paint from urethane bumpers?

I plan on chemically stripping the rest of the car. I understand that stripper doesn't like urethane either.

I have just completed stripping my body, except for the seams that I taped off. I will sand them. My rear bumper cover is fiberglass, a replacement form Eckler's, so I will strip it. My front is orginial, I believe that sanding is the only thing that can be done to it. Will be watching for more info.

The best method to remove paint from urethane bumpers would be to hire a good body shop :jester
Aside from that I would sand them.

When I stripped my '75 ten years ago, I stripped the whole car with Evercoat One Strip. It did'nt hurt the urethane bumpers either, which I also stripped with the same paint remover. The only thing I'd caution you about is refinishing an original "OLD" GM urethane bumper. These bumpers are now coming apart by the hundreds now that they are 25+ years old and you may not want to waste your time and money in redoing it. You may be better off to replace it, then paint the newly installed one. Or, if you just decide to go ahead and redo the one you have on the car, just be prepared that one day you may go out to your car and see that it is split in several places. :yesnod:
