There are a couple of screws toward the top that need to be removed and it seems like a nut or two that need to be removed on the bottom. It has been a while since I had mine out, just going on memory. Seems like the screws are phillips head the the nut is about 7/16.

Okay, I am not able to get a quick pic of the lower side of the grill but, in the top of the grill there are 2 phillips head screws. One toward the very upper front and one near the upper rear third of the grill. The nut is accessed from under the car. You may want to have someone hold the grill in place while you remove the nut.
Eddies right on. Two screws at the top visable from the out side. They go almost straight up into the top of the grill. The 2 nuts are on the bottom and accessible from underneath inside. When both screws are out and both nuts off, the top of the grill should lean out. You will need to lift the grill as you pull it out as the 2 studs from the bottom go through two brackets.
Thanks very much, once I get the little one to sleep I will get out in the garage and give it a shot. Do you know if under the paint if the grilles are aluminum plated or chrome??
Flash chrome, not the best. I would like to take mine off and remove paint to see what they look like. Most don't like a chromed eggcrate vent, but I think I do. My car is slowly being rebuilt. Removing the paint needs to be done anyway, so I will see how they look.
Great advice and they came off fast with the great feedback you guys gave me, here's pic and am wondering what would be the best way to get the paint off of these to expose the chrome underlayment? Thanks for the info.
You can try purple power in the big plastic bag.It will take that paint off in about 24 hours. Not sure about the chrome. This is an old trick stripping paint off model cars.
