I use (BRUTE FORCE) from auto zone or O'riley auto parts.
I treat my car like I stole it, and never had a problem with
braking u-joints Just my .02 on u-joints. You don't
need high dollar joints for street use, unless you got the power
to break them.

Plus my car is not stock in any way, and they still have not popped
on me (knock on wood) LOL

I use SPICER's and posted last week about them. This may help you. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1548292

I broke a zerk joint in 1/2 without any abuse at all.

I totally agree with using spicer lifes, spend the extra bucks and be done with. Check your local driveshaft shops in the Yellow Pages, my local shop charged about $10 less per u-joint than what I found on e-bay and only charge $7.50 per joint to install, when you take the shaft into them, I also had mine re-balanced just to be sure.

I use Spicer solid ones for peace of mind.

I get them at local driveshaft shop. Best stuff going.

I carry both Spicer & Neapco joints. Both are cryo'd as well. I personally don't know what all the hype about Spicer is about. I mean they are good joints but I believe the Neapco's are just as good if not better. Spicer has the plastic seals, that will more than likely break when you install them, which in turn causes them to fail prematurely. I like the rubber seals better. Less hassel and the same quality.

1/2 shaft joints are a 799 or a 1350 series u-joint
driveshaft joints - 1971-1979 are 790 or a 1330 series joint
