Default where to buy headers??

I can't find any listings for headers that will fit my 1971 BB on the summit page. I found the listing for headman headers but from past posts, people seem to be recommending hooker's headers.

Any inputs??

Summits Web site is not complete. Call them if you don't see what you want. They have it or can get it.

Summit definately has more than the web site shows. Or maybe I just had a hard time navigating it. I just put on a set from them that I guess were their generic headers because they were only $79.50. The part # is SUM-G9003 for a 68-82 Corvette with 265-400ci engine. I'm sure the more expensive sets are better but my wife was going to kill be if I spent $300 on more parts for the car. I can get away with it in a few years if these wear out (but I hope they don't) :nonod:
Good luck,
John

I have a 71 BB also and ordered Heddman ceramic coated headers from Summitt a few weeks ago. Just call and talk to the sales rep. They are extremley knowlegeable. I have not had a chance to get them on yet, working on the brake calipers, but will keep you posted.

I worked at Summit as Chevy tech/sales person. The Cat only shows a small part of what they can get from every vendor.

Headers - especially coated ones are a lifetime investment. So get the best you can. My advice is to get the bigger primary. Because if they are bigger than the head exhaust port you get anti-reversion properties. then in the future if you step up on heads you already have the headers that fit.

tworottiedogs, Summit definitely carries all the headers to fit our cars. I also have a set of 2 1/8 hooker supercomps for sale. They are brand new and jet-hot coated, but they hang very low under the car that is why I am not using them.
