Default Rear Brake Question

Hi All, Been under the 77 cleaning up the chassis and something seems weird to me. With the rear wheels off it is very difficult to move, turn, the rear rotors. The left side seems to almost grab at two
areas. Is this normal?
Thanks

When you have the rear of the car jacked up. The half shafts are out of there operating range. The bind that you feel is the ujoints. Try and jack up the trailing arm, so the halfshat dosen't have so much of an angle. Then try turning it should turn freely.

Thanks for your reply. That makes me feel better. I will do what you suggested this weekend. Thinking of it now it makes sense.
Thanks again.

Also, if your rear rotors have ever been removed/replaced, the rivets are gone and the rotors will be loose on the wheel studs. They will need the pressure of the lug nuts to keep from binding. If you have the wheels off, just thread two lug nuts back on and finger tight and the rotors should turn freely. Good luck.

hawgn68 Thanks also for you advise. This 77 has only 29k on it and I picked it up from the original owner. The rear brakes are all original and rotors in the rear haven't been off yet. I did reinstall two lug nuts and tried to turn the rotors by hand and it was difficult. I think what Artsvette mentioned makes sense but I haven't had a chance to go out to the garage to jack up on the trailing arm as he suggested but will soon. Thanks
