Default Xtreme Bilstein shocks

Anyone using these shocks that VB&P sells? Wondering what the differance/valving is between the Bilstein sport shocks and the Extremes...may help in controlling wheel hop

I have inquired about the valving of Bilsteins and various other shocks, but some how TODAY, it seems to be some sort of secret, back many decades ago it was open knowledge....

IMO, any shock with similar valving would work as well as a Bilstein, but maybe not last as long....but what the hell for 20 bux each who cares???

Boy I wish they were $20.00. I've read that Bilsteins are rated at 360 psi and KYB's are in the 280 psi range, but who knows about the valving, There not apples to apples........

Adjustability is a good thing...if you have the tools and knowledge to know what to adjust....that is after you have figured what springs and shocks to buy.....

I have used the Bilstein Extremes on my 72 Auto X car and in my opinion they are valved way to high on rebound. My car had off throttle oversteer with them which is a very dangerous condition for a street car and made the car very unpredictable as an auto X car. I know of one other racer who used them and he had the same problem. So...don't buy them!
