Does anyone know if the Billet Specialties air cleaner will fit under a stock small block hood on a 72 corvette? It has a Edelbrock Performer manifold with a Street Avenger carb.
I guess I'm after a little of both. I'm not going to go crazy with the engine, but at some point my intention is to either rebuild my numbers matching engine or a crate motor 383 stroker. At this point, I just want to make a few changes: manifold, carb, exhaust system to give it a little more power along with dressing up the engine. I will also be cleaning up the engine compartment as well as stripping and painting the frame (frame on).
I see that you're real close by in Anaheim. I work in Cypress at Mitsubishi.
No, I haven't gotten to the exhaust yet. I still have to install the manifold and carb. I'm hoping to install them over my Christmas break. As for the exhaust, I'm hoping to do it sometime in January. I'm looking for a good muffler shop that won't cost me an arm and a leg. I have a quote from Kenny's muffler in Cypress for $950. This includes Hedman Elite Cerramic Coated headers, 2 1/2 inch exhaust with H-pipe and Dynomax turbo mufflers all installed.
