well here is the # off the bellhousing of the block

10066036

it also says "89" next to the block# - im guessing thats the year the block came from...Chime in if you find out what that means i have no idea lol

That's an 89 casting, "Hecho en Mexico" block, either a factory or Target replacement engine, 2 or 4 bolt mains (you'll have to pull the pan to determine which)

its a 4 bolt, i have the motor out, and the crank looks like it was balanced, and the whole entire motor looks so clean on the inside...not one problem, no spun bearings, no scoring, nothing. everything looks good

someone said i could go .030 over and gets better heads and cam to pick up power and stay smog legal ( I LOVE CALI!!!! ) i dont know how well their suggestions would work, what does everyone think? whats a good setup to pick up some quick HP and torque and stay legal for stupid CA?
