Default At last....

All the parts are here from the various suppliers.

Think on New Years Day I am going into the garage and not coming out till I hear the roar of thunder.

The 58cc alloys went on a treat, as did new performer, roller rockers, alloy water pump, new damper, underdrive pulleys, etc. got a cam and headers.

No duals yet - gonna have them made in stainless by a firm not too far away.

Will give progress report as it happens.

Enjoy........

Post some pics!!! What have you done with your old carb and also how did the performer install go? Was it the 2101? Curious as I am putting this intake on my car with my rebuilt qjet once the parts arrive.

Kinda difficult to get new chrome bolts of the right thread over in the UK - but no problem - you buy some and send them to me and I will pay you .

Intake was dead easy, as was the whole engine rebuild, gaskets are a bit of a fiddle, to make sure they don't move.

Used the Torque plus ones - not the factory ones.

Think in these days of computer controlled machining when accuracy of fantastic amounts is possible, they should be producing items all with locating pegs to be spot on - not " slide it about till it looks right - and hope ".

I got some st/st bolts off the shelf at a local hardware shop. From memory I think that they're 3/8" UNC (16 tpi).

Jotto: Fitting the 2101 is easy, it won't take long at all. Just be sure to label all the vac pipes, etc, before you remove them!

What goes in the port where the thermostat housing comes out? It doesn't look like anything will fit there when the hose is installed?
