I don't have the part # handy, but Summit sells a Holly that's advertised as bolt on replacement for the Q-jet. If I remember correctly, it's a 650CFM and around $300.
That's a 4175 spread-bore. I looked at that but deceided that if I was going to go Holley I would be better off using a square-bore. If you are running a spread-bore only manifold, than besides the Qjet, that's a reasonable option. You don't want to run a spread-to-square bore adapter on the manifold!
Hey Ken my motor is all stock. So can you tell me if i have a spread-bore or a square.also do u think the 4175 is a good choice.

Ken,
What happened to the fuel economy thoughts? Have we been bitten by the performance bug? Is there an XE 268 in the picture?
I have been super busy with work, not much cruising, still no chassis dyno. It's killing me! I am like a little kid at Christmas, I can't wait to get the verdict on the new hp & torque numbers.
Bud
Bud,
How'd you guess..... the xe268 is beginning to come into focus altho I still fall back to the xe262 every now-and-then. Let me know when you get your dyno results. Whatever your results, the car sounded gooooood, especially when you left driving down the little alley in back of the motel.
ridged84,
If you are not going to swap out the manifold then you should stay with a spread-bore. Look a the Edelbrock Qjet replacements as well as the Holley. People here have tried them both, comments seem to go both ways.
