How hard is the heater core to change out? Mine just started spitting on my new carpet today. :cuss We were out driving behind and old Ford truck (coolant leaks are normal for old Fords) and thought the smell was coming from him but it remained after we passed him. We looked down under the dash and coolant was leaking. My car is a 71 convertible without A/C. Do you take it out from the engine bay or from under the dash?

Andies - As I recall (keep in mind it has been a long time), it was removed from the engine side. It is not a real treat to do it. Word of advice. Patience. If I recall, the big blocks were harder. Good luck
If you don't want to replace the seals and stuff, then you can do it from the engine compartment side. Piece of cake. Here's a cool photo album that forum member paul79 put together: http://albums.photopoint.com/j/Album...&a=7422869&f=0
Thanks Again. I might just leave it in "by-pass" mode for the time being. Living in Central Texas, there is not much demand for a heater and as we all know Sharks get hot all by themselves! :yesnod:  :yesnod:
