Even If I were to have bought the intake, ecm, and harness. I would have spent about $1100 which is far less than a "Stealth Ram" from Holly, or An Accel "DFI Pro-Ram"

Ah yes, but don't compare your TPI to those two...or a TPIS mini-ram. They are worth at least 75 hp at anything >6,000rpm. . Nice job, Jason. The torque the TPI develops down low is neck-snapping.

I was comparing just the cost. Thanks for the Compliment Gary!!! What do you think about some Edelbrock runners??
When I took it for a spin around the block the other night the pin you to your seat, "neck-snapping" torque was amazing even in the rain (thanks Travis county for the agressive asphault).
I still can not get over the exhuast note. It is a sharper more piercing tone compared to the lower pitched rumble from when I had the carb on it.
Any eta on getting your engine back yet???

I prefer the large-tube runners from Arizona Speed and Marine, but the bottle-neck is the runner...so any improvement you do will help. As far as the ETA on the engine...well.... machine shops have 2 speeds....slow and stop. As long as the work is quality, I'll deal with slow.

I have been following this post. Great Job.. I have a Holley Stealth Ram sitting up in my closet. I have a speed density C4 harness but the wiring I have't figured out yet. It is destined to go in my 73 383. I guess I will really have to look it to one of those neck braces. Again Job well done.

First of all thanks for the compliment.

I was worried about the same thing, but with the help from the forum members, by them posting advice, and links to useful websites I was able to accomplish the install. Ask alot of questions, do alot of reading (wire schematics for the car your harness came from + & - one year for assembly line changes), and make notes about what you see while reading the schematic with the harness spread out in front of you, so you are familiar with it.
Try to have all the parts you will need gathered before you start. thats why you see MISC $50 at the end of my list. It is for the little things that if I didn't plan ahead could have put a damper on the project.
By little things I mean; Hose clamps, electrical tape, solder, heat shrink tube, vacume hose (numerous sizes) Fuel injection hose, wire end connectors, vacume port caps, etc. You can't think of everything, but one unexpected trip to the parts store is better than 10.

Thanks again for the compliment

Default Cost update

I had to purchase a new/reman 105 amp alternator as no one seems to stock a voltage regulator.

Cost update:
Reman alternator= $74.49

Total cost to date= $718.19

I think I'm finally done with this chapter in the book of Corvette upgrades.

Now onto a new project. May be some modern head lights, or a mono leaf front suspension
