If I were you I would look at all the braking components. Check the master fro leaks...check the frame lines for rot or breaks, and check the rubber lines and calipers.
If you have old rubber lines, replace them, and even better, step up to some S/S braided lines.
If your calipers are original, get them sleeved or buy a set of calipers already sleeved with S/S. Have your front rotors checked for excessive run-out...or, wobble.
Also, if you have a problem in the front...the rear is probably not far behind.
I had a problem with the caliper seals going out, and i just replaced the seals. They worked, and it wasn't difficult. If you are considering upgrading, now would be a good time.
