The wipers on my 72 don't work. I've checked the fuse with a light and I'm getting power on both sides of the fuse panel. There are two electric leads that connect up to the wiper motoer. I'm assuming that one is for the washer pump and the other is for the motor. Neither lead is getting power when I turn on the wipers at the switch. Any ideas on where my problem may be? I haven't pulled the switch yet, since I'm trying to avoid tearing up my dash at this point.
The wiper/vaccum systems are funny. Does your wiper door open? did you check the wiper door override? what about the **** that stops the wipers so you can change the blades. I would try opening the door, and then try the wipers, it could be the wipers wont go on because the door is not open. I would do a search on this forum, and the "general" for wiper probems. you may learn you solution be reading those.
Look on passenger side of firewall, there is a micro switch off the wiper door assembly that has to be depressed before wipers can run, push it in towards firewall to make sure it is fully depressed BUT, before doing this make sure your wiper door is all the way up! (saftey switch is in system to confirm complete opening of wiper door before wipers are allowed to run.) There is a connector between the switch and wiper motor, disconnect it and use a test lamp to see if voltage is present. Next check the terminals on the wiper motor itself for voltage. One thing many people forget is Vettes are fiberglass and motor housing needs to be grounded to engine block for wipers to function check by grounding motor housing to engine block. If voltage is present at wiper motor terminals, and motor ground is good, there is a potential that resistors on motor housing have failed. Next step is to replace motor with another wiper motor, you can static test new motor before doing PITA removal, of old motor, connect terminal connectors and ground housing of new motor to engine block. I hope this helps you in your search. Good luck.

I had the same problem with my wipers. It turned out to be a badly corroded spade connector where the wires plug into the wiper motor. I had power the the plug but it wasn't getting through it.
Try the wiper switch under the dash between the wiper door and headlight override switches.
Turn on your wipers with the regular switch (top of dash) - make sure wiper door is fully opened (depressing micro switch on firewall) - and then turn the switch under the dash.

Forgot about the big switch under the steering column. I believe that switch actually turns off the wipers allowing you to park them up on the windshield so that you can change wiper blades.
