Default Vacuum reserve

Here's a question for you guys. I'm rebuilding the headlights in the 76'. I have 2 lines coming out of the vacuum reserve canister on the drivers side. One seems to be leading into a brake line of some sort and goes off towards the back of the car. The other line heads towards the radiator. This line was cut and I don't know where it goes. The guy who had the car before me must have cut it or forgot where it goes or something. Anyone know where this hose leads to?

nevermind, i found in the assembly manual that the second hose goes to the carb for something. Anyone know what it does at the carb, vacuum, exhaust? Should I plug the sucker now that I'm not using it??

Not sure I understand which lines you're looking at. Have you looked at these web pages?
http://vetteworks.tripod.com/techdocuments/Vaccum.html http://www.members.home.net/awsvette/vacuum.htm

Maybe they'll help. They've both got some pretty good info on vacuum systems.
