1971 Vette, 350/270, Auto, Air It looks like a relay of some kind. It is the size of a small wooded match box and is bolted to another, what looks like a relay, on the drivers side fire wall in the engine conpartment. It has two terminals. One terminal has a light green wire and the other terminal has a black wire and a light brown wire. What is it?
It is not the horn relay since that is located at or near the left fender about 12" from the firewall. Some of the boxes on the firewall are the terminals for power windows and I "think" the timer for the CEC (emissions doodad unique to 71. I don't have a wiring diagram for a 71 but anyone with one should be able to help you positively indentify this.

On our 68 L36, its a 30A circuit breaker that supplies unfused B+ for the taillights, side markers and maybe the wiper motor. It doesn't show up on the AIM schematic, but the nuts mounted in the firewall looked factory.
