How many keys originally came with the 1970 Corvette BB Convertable? Were any locks keyed the same?
I am speaking about the two door locks, ignition switch, anti theft system, and rear storage compartment locks. How many rear storage compartments were lockable? Did I miss anything?....How many keys?
Two different keys came with it. Can't remember which one went to what. One locking compartment door in the rear. You also had the lock on the spare tire carrier.

I say 2 as well. From memory.... square-ignition, doors. round- compartments, spare, and alarm,(later vin's). Can check when I get home.
Earlier vin had a smaller briggs/stratton key for the alarm. The alarm switch was also smaller with no echeteon. The AIM shows the later setup.
There should be 2 rectangular head keys (J) for the doors and ignition and 2 round head keys (K) for the rear storage compartment lock, the spare tire lock and for later 70's the alarm lock. Up to about sequence number 12,250 1970 the alarm keys were a round head key with "Briggs & Stratton" on one side.
So depending on when your car was built and if it had the optional alarm you either had a set of 4 or 6 keys, 2 of each type.
