I have one where the yellow line starts at 5k and the orange at 5.5k and the other has the yellow start at 5.5 and the orange start at 6k. Its a 73 tach so it must be BB?

I'm having trouble understanding 5.5K and such, can you just state the
numbers in 5000, 5300, etc.

The tach with the yellow line starting at 5000 rpm should have the redline (orange section) begin at 5300 rpm.

The tach with the redline (orange section) starting at 6000 rpm should have the yellow section beginning at about 5700 rpm.

Is this what you have?

And also is your car a 72 454?

5.5 k is 5500. The second must be a BBtach because it's out of a 73. I'n converting mt SB 72 into BB, I just want to put the right tach in there.

Ok, the 5.5K orange line tach is the one you should use, the 73 6K tach is from an L82 without A/C.
