Bullshark, thanks for the info. I just called and talked to Roger at Corvette Instruments and he is building me one for $240. This way i don't even have to touch my stock tach
I just sent mine to MIkeMercury here on the forum. Should be done in a few days or so. I'll PM you his email. Probably cost in the 135 to 150 range. I'll let him fill you in on the details.

Great, Roger is a good guy to deal with, I am sure you will be happy. I sent him a tach I salvaged off a 76 parts car, He checked it out and refaced it for ~ $55 including shipping. I got the green faced numbers with the redline where I wanted it for RamJet. This way I don't have those mismatched mounting holes on the faceplate. Even though I know they are hard to notice. I believe the good quality circuit boards are going for around $90 plus so with labor and calibration and a new tach movement and everything, $240 is not bad.

I bought a used tach off of ebay and an electronic autometer tach from Summit (or maybe Jegs...) and combined the two. Prety simple. Take both apart. Connect workings to back of original, replace needle.
Worked out really easy.
Key is to get an electronic tach with as close to the same arrangement of RPMS on the face as the original.
Good thread, I need to convert my C2 tach. I have a Auto Meter that I will use for the conversion. If this doesn't work out I will give Corvette instruments a call.
Thank for the info.

A suggestion is to tell the vendor to not replace the dial indicator. When I had my '76 clock rebuilt, they put a new one on and it didn't match the color of the other guages' indicator dials.
