Default 540 Dyno Run II

I just got off the phone with TNBUSA. They finally got his motor on the dyno today and called him with the results. I had told him earlier to call me when he found out what the motor made.

Mike can add all the details but the hard numbers are

719 HP and 687 Ft Lbs on 93 pump gas. The pull was stopped at 6000 RPM and HP was still climbing.

Sounds like Mike put together a pretty darn good combination of parts!!!

I put this in the general section too. I know some may not get the look at it over there.

Congrats Mike. I can't wait to see you guys at CF CI VIII. There's gonna be a parking lot full of BB Beasts! Which intake/carb setup did you go with? Let's see some pics ASAP.

Hey Patrick! I went with the super victor and a pro-systems 1120. Probably a little big for my combo but I will be set if I decide to put in a real cam. I cant wait for the cruise in but I still have a ton to do, I hope to get done by then.

Sounds really great! no dyno run and winter got here before I got a chance to drive mine (also 540). Chevy 188 heads, Edelbrock 7162 cam and the Edelbrock 2 fours set-up.

Sweeettttttt........... great to hear it!!

That's going to be a heck of a lot of fun!! Glad to know I'll have someone else at the Cruise IN with a *small block* 540" motor. All the rest of these guys are at 548", 555", 598" and 638"s!! We're the underdogs!!

I bet that sucker is smooth down low. The TQ right off idle is going to be incredible...but did I hear "put in a real cam"?????

He, he, he.....I used to ask Mark if it was possible to become *jaded* with 800 hp on the street......look at you...just busted 700HP on an easy pull and already eyeballing the next level!! Good news is that with the rest of your combo you truly are just a cam change away from a completely different animal.

I want to see those 2x4's and lets make some dyno runs Langg!!

Sadly, it is not only possible, but inevitable......
