Default Jacking the car up

I drive a 1979. What is the safest way to place the rear end of the car on jackstands. Where do I place the jackstands?

I usually place my jackstands at the rear of frame rail just in front of the rear tires. I jack the car up just in front of this area.

Park on a nice level surface and chock the front wheels. Unlatch your Ttops but leave in place. Put a good 3 ton hydraulic jack under the differential, in front of the ears on the differential cover that hold the spring. Car will lift nicely from the center so you can position both stands as above.
